Felix Manzanares (27), former youth pastor of Church of God Chapel on Walkers Road, George Town, Grand Cayman, was found “Not Guilty” of making sexual advancements towards one of his church members,

 

The jury took just three hours to reach their verdict on Thursday (19).

 

Manzanares, who is married, had admitted kissing the 41 year old woman at her home in West Bay, saying it was consensual, but he had not tried to rape her and had not touched her breasts and inner thighs.

 

After the verdict the pastor said he now had to get his life back together again as he had lost his job at the church.

 

Manzanares was also former host of a youth television show on CITN/Cayman27.

 

During the trial, defence counsel stated the complainant was angered after she heard rumours about the incident, which gave her the motive to give false statements
