The 43-year-old suspect in the below release was charged last night with attempted murder and will appear in court today.

The victim remains in critical care.

At approximately 3.30pm yesterday afternoon, Monday, 2^nd June 2014 Police responded to a dispute at Rainbow Lane in West Bay. A 62-year-old resident received a number of chop wounds and was taken to George Town Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery.

A 43-year-old local male was arrested at the scene and is in custody at George Town Police Station. The victim is currently in the Critical Care unit of the George Town Hospital.
