Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH

Automechanika Birmingham has teamed up with the Women Automotive Network, who will be hosting the Women Automotive Network – Drinks Reception at this year’s show, as the event organiser continues on its mission to support diversity within the sector.

Taking place on the 7 June, 12.30 – 2pm, in the VIP lounge, all Automechanika Birmingham visitors are welcome, with the reception aimed at encouraging the sector to pull together to promote a fair and equal working environment for all.

Women Automotive Network is a community dedicated to empowering women in the Automotive industry by hosting a number of networking events, bringing together professionals from all over the world.

Featuring keynote speakers, engaging panel discussions, interactive workshops, speed networking and more, the community’s events focus on diversity, technology, and career advancement, while providing a platform for networking, professional development and advocacy.

Caleb Essang, lead marketing for Women Automotive Network commented: “At the Women Automotive Network, we believe that collaboration is key to driving progress in the industry, and we’re thrilled to partner with Automechanika Birmingham for a drinks reception to connect, inspire, and empower women in the industry.”

Alex Jones, marketing director at Messe Frankfurt, organisers of Automechanika Birmingham added: “Women Automotive Network is a fantastic initiative that provides valuable support to women in the industry, while also offering more opportunities to help further diversify the sector.

“The drinks reception looks to provide a relaxed and informal setting for professionals to come together to continue the conversation and set plans on how we can further attract a diverse workforce to the industry.”

As part of its commitment to supporting equality within the sector, Automechanika Birmingham recently launched a brand-new documentary highlighting females in the automotive aftermarket, featuring discussions about what it’s like to be a woman in the industry.
