Woman car jacked in West Bay

About 6.20pm on Thursday night a 30-year-old woman was approaching her vehicle in the car park of Dolphin Discovery, North West Point Road,West Bay. 

At this time she was suddenly confronted by two men, one of whom was armed with what appeared to be a firearm. 

The suspects threatened the woman with the gun and she handed over her handbag and car keys.

The suspects then drove off in the car,  a grey Toyota Marino. The woman was not injured and no shots were fired.

A spokeswoman for the RCIPS said: “Police attended the scene and a description of the car and suspects was broadcast. A short time later the car was found in Bonaventure Drive, West Bay by the Air Operations Unit.

“The suspects are described as being of slim build, dark skinned and dressed in all black. One was around 6′ in height and the other 5’8”.

“Anyone who was in the area of Dolphin Discovery who saw the incident take place or the suspects driving off from the scene is asked to contact West Bay CID. Police would also be keen to speak to anyone who saw the suspects dump the car in Bonaventure Drive.”
