Spring 2016 Honours Convocation

The UCCI community celebrates academic excellence and gives recognition to the members of the Dean’s List (GPA of at least 3.5) and President’s List (GPA of at least 3.75).

Check out the complete line-up of speakers including the UCCI theatre arts students. Food will be prepared by UCCI hospitality students.

Assemble teams of 4 (one member must be a girl). Get forms from members of the SRC or the Student Services Office. Pay the entry fee and you’re all set!

UCCI Students/Alumni on the Spotlight

Several students and alumni were featured in the recently published 2016 Careers Guide and at the Careers Expo.

Alma Cholette who just graduated in 2015 is now working as a junior reporter at Pinnacle Media. Jerrica Merren currently works for Dart Realty as an accountant. Dru Yates is a pharmacy inventory clerk at Health City Cayman Islands. Brittany Parsaligan is participating in Cayman Finance’s new mentoring programme. Kisha Stewart who’s on the President’s List this semester received a coveted internship opportunity from Prosperity Capital Management Limited.

Music Man Glen Inanga arranges a visit from 12-year-old jazz prodigy

International concert pianist Glen Inanga, senior lecturer at the University College of the Cayman Islands, arranged for Grammy-nominated Joey Alexander to come to Cayman as part of the Cayman Arts Festival.

“I want to inspire the children, not just to see a prodigy,” he said, “but they need to realize there is no limit to how good you can be based on your age.”
