From World-Track

The 2016 Cayman Invitational will be streamed live on ESPN3 on Saturday (14), while a repeat broadcast of the Caribbean event will be televised on ESPN2 on Sunday (15).

Fans, who are unable to travel to the Truman Bodden Stadium in George Town over the weekend, but have a USA IP address, can watch live streaming coverage of the invitational on ESPN3, starting at 7:00 pm ET.

The repeated broadcast is scheduled for 5:00 pm on Sunday on ESPN2.

The Cayman Invitational will feature several world-class athletes, including world record holder Usain Bolt, who will be making season debut.

The six-time Olympic Games champion, who is targeting another three-peat in Rio, Brazil, later this summer, where he would increase his tally to a sweeping nine gold medals from three Olympics – will race in the men’s 100m against Kemar Bailey-Cole, the Commonwealth Games champion and Cayman Islands national record holder Kemar Hyman.

Besides Bolt, the invite will also see Americans Kendra Harrison, 2011 world champion Carmelita Jeter and 2015 NCAA sprint champion Jenna Prandini also in action.

Missing from the meet, however, will be USA’s world championships 400m gold medallist Allyson Felix.

Felix, who is yet to recover from an ankle injury she picked up in training late last month, has expressed sadness about having to the miss the meeting, but she knows that the ultimate target is to be fit and sharp enough to take on the world’s best at the Olympics in Rio.
