Viking launch world’s first Happiness Printer HA-P1000 model launched to mark International Day of Happiness 2015

VikingTweet_400x400Viking is delighted to announce the launch of the world’s first Happiness Printer to coincide with the United Nation’s International Day of Happiness 2015 (20/03).

Specifically designed to brighten up any home or office environment the HA-P100 printer comes pre-loaded with over 1,000 images and phrases ranging from adorable to silly.

Whether its curing cases of the Mondays, getting over Hump Day or making that hour of overtime drag a little less, with Viking’s HA-P1000, happiness is always just a print away.

The HA-P1000 comes with single-button printing, always-on technology and built-in wi-fi as standard, to ensure happiness can be delivered 10 times a minute in any environment, at any time of day. While the FINE cartridge technology means each print beams with joy.

The Happiness Printer will be available on Viking-Direct.co.uk here from 08.00 GMT on International Day of Happiness (20/03).

The printer, however, is not available to buy with money – instead only happiness will be accepted as form of payment.

To get their hands on the printer, the public is invited to tell Viking (part of the Office Depot Group) how they would use the HA-P1000 to make the world a happier place using the #HappinessPrinter, with the printer ‘sold’ to the suggestions that are deemed to have the most potential for happiness.

Ruud Linders, of Office Depot Europe, said: “The HA-P1000 is brilliantly random, producing sheet after sheet of printed joy.

“Offices are not always thought of as particularly happy places, so for this year’s International Day of Happiness we wanted to see if we could change this.

“Imagine a world where you can have happiness on tap, all you need to do is just push a button – now we’re not claiming to have created this, but with the Happiness Printer we’ve at least taken a step in the right direction.

“We can’t wait to see how and where people will use the printer.”

Viking took the Happiness Printer onto the streets of Leeds last week to share some happiness and get the city smiling. You can see what happened, here.
