Vehicle Involved in Cayman Brac Hit & Run Located

UPDATE:

On Saturday 30 December, the white Honda Fit involved in the hit and run which occurred in Cayman Brac on 26 December, was recovered by police.

The vehicle was located at a commercial premises in the West End of the Brac.  The owner of the vehicle has not yet been located, but is believed to be currently off island.

Police encourage the owner of the vehicle to report to their nearest police station or contact the Cayman Brac police station on 948-0331.

If anyone has any information about the driver of the vehicle they are encouraged to contact 911 or the Cayman Brac police station on 948-0331.

28 December:

Shortly after 7:30 PM, on Tuesday 26 December, police and other emergency services responded to a report of a hit and run on West End Road East, Cayman Brac.

On arriving at the location, officers observed a male lying on the ground being attended to by ambulance personal.

It was reported that the victim was leaving an establishment with a friend and while crossing the road was struck by a white Honda Fit, causing him to sustain injuries.  The vehicle left the scene.

The victim was taken to Faith Hospital to receive treatment for his injuries, and is in a stable condition.

Cayman Brac police are investigating the incident and request that anyone that has any information about the incident or knowledge of the whereabouts of the vehicle, which sustained damage to the left rear view mirror, please contact the Cayman Brac Police Station on 948-0331.
