The house where paedophile Stuart Hall abused his victims is set to be demolished after being finally flogged.

Builders will erase all traces of the former It’s a Knockout host before building a new swish pad on the site in sought-after Wilmslow, Cheshire.

The four bed hacienda-style house, named Quinta, with large garden has been sold for around £995,000.

It had been originally on sale for £1.2 million and Hall’s wife Hazel moved out in October – two months before her shamed husband was released from jail.

A source revealed: “Interest had just stagnated. Everyone locally who might have been interested in such a beautiful property knows its history and don’t want it.

“Hall was a household name so even if potential buyers don’t know at first who the house belongs to they will when they do a bit of research.

“Girls were abused in the house and in the swimming pool in the garden so to say the house is tainted is an under-statement.

“A developer has bought the house and will knock the place down, get rid of the pool and build a stunning new place.”

Just three months before he admitted a string of sex attacks on 13 girls – aged between nine and 17 – the ex-BBC broadcaster had signed over the deeds of the gated house to Hazel.

At the time he was accused of trying to protect his fortune from compensation claims made by his victims.

The source added: “It’s a wonderful home and in a fantastic location.

“But the buyers were being put off because it was where Hall lived and abused some of his victims.

It has a stigma attached to it and people didn’t want to be associated with it.”

Hall, who was stripped of his OBE in October 2013, was jailed for a total of five years after admitting 14 counts of assaulting girls aged from nine to 17 between 1967 and 1985.
