UK lifts quarantine rules for vaccinated travellers

From Harley Medic International

Last year, the world was shaken with the sudden news about the new strain of virus spreading around the world. This virus is called the Nobel Coronavirus or the Covid-19. Because of this, almost everything went a lot of changes. From the personal lives of many, up to the public sentiments.

In fact, even the business industries were affected as well as the tourism sector as boundaries from other countries were closed to protect people from the spread of the virus.

Almost all countries adjusted to the sudden shift and made it possible for everyone to feel safe and secured. Government implemented strict rules for travellers. One of these is the need to present a fit to fly COVID Test. This is to ensure that every passenger is eligible to travel into one place to another.

Travelers also need to pass the Rapid Antigen Test for Travel. This is a Covid-19 test that does not require a laboratory to analyse results. The Rapid Antigen test involves a nasal or throat swab. It is then placed in a liquid solution to search for proteins. These proteins may indicate a current infection by Covid-19 virus. After this they are still subject for quarantine.

Meanwhile, in UK Government now, they are allowing those people who are fully vaccinated to skip some steps especially the quarantine rules. It was announced by UK transport secretary Grant

This new protocol is valid for UK residents who were vaccinated before traveling and for travellers returning to England from United States and other European countries, especially passengers from amber list. But UK expatriates and non-residents who are fully vaccinated will still need to quarantine. Here are some of the answers in frequently asked questions about this subject and topic.

Will Vaccinated Travelers Still Need to be Tested?

The answer on this would be yes, as the Department of Transport stated that vaccinated travellers from amber list would still be subject for current testing requirements. They are required to get Covid-19 tests or rapid antigen test.

What are the Present Rules for Vaccinated travellers?

Travellers must still follow the travel regulations under the “traffic lights” system, which was introduced in May by the government. It categorizes countries according to their risk of COVID-19. The amber category covers most countries around the world, including the US as well as the majority of Europe. This means that travellers entering the UK must pass three Covid-19 screenings and are subject to ten days quarantine.

For Travellers Planning to Return to England, You Must Do the Following

It would be best to know the following things beforehand to avoid conflict when travelling. You must know the rules and regulation in each country that you wish to go to as this will help you out in making mistakes. Returning to England is easy if you have the necessary documents when you return.

As a traveller who wants to return to England, you must take a Covid-19 test and present a negative result. After this, it would be best to know a facility and that you can use to book for a day 2 test.

You should also submit the passenger locator form within 48 hours of arriving in the UK. The form must be presented at check-in to board or travel on a train, plane, or ferry within the UK.

All the things mentioned above are the most crucial thing a travellers should know to prevent confusion. Knowing facilities that offers Covid-19 tests would also be a plus. However, not being able to know one is not an issue as there are reputable one everywhere now.
