The best tech and science museums in the world

Museum of Science and Industry
The Museum of Science and Industry is located in Chicago and has exhibits that educate about materials science, the science of storms and natural disasters, and mathematical patterns in the natural world.

Center of Science and Industry
Located in Columbus, Ohio, the Center of Science and Industry offers interactive exhibits, working labs, and a planetarium, which is perhaps the most popular aspect of the museum.

Museum of Science
The Museum of Science is in Boston and has permanent exhibits which showcase the benefits of wind power and renewable energy, how to conserve energy at home, and several other renewable energy exhibits. There are also plenty of interactive exhibits for kids.

California Science Center
In Los Angeles, there is the California Science Center, a hands-on museum of science and technology. Some of the permanent exhibits include: Ecosystems, Creative World, Air and Space, and World of Life. It’s billed as the largest west coast museum of science.

National Air and Space Museum
Located in Washington DC, the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum is a classic. It has the largest exhibit of historic air and spacecrafts in the world and is absolutely huge. They have an exhibit called “Outside the Spacecraft” that’s about floating, walking, and working in space.

Shanghai Science and Technology Museum
The Shanghai Science and Technology Museum has exhibits about robots, design, light, space, and the natural world. It also has a theater with educational films all year round.

Pacific Science Center
The Pacific Science Center is located in Seattle, Washington. It was designed for the 1962 World’s Fair in Seattle. It boasts several exhibits on environmental science, as well as historical science, and labs where visitors can tinker with new technologies. There are outdoor exhibits, theaters, and many educational programs for kids throughout the year.

Deutsches Museum
Located in Munich, Germany, the Deutsches Museum is consistently ranked as one of the best technology museums in the world. Some exhibits include “Materials Production” and “Musical Instruments,” as well as permanent exhibits on new technologies, transportation, and natural sciences.

The Tech Museum of Innovation
Located in San Jose, California, the Tech Museum of Innovation, or “The Tech,” is a 501c3 non-profit. Most of the exhibits, like one where you can design and build robots, are interactive. Each year, the museum also hosts the Tech Awards for technology that helps humanity.

Arkansas Museum of Discovery
The Arkansas Museum of Discovery is located in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. The museum hosts an array of festivals like “Girls in STEM” and “Tinkerfest,” and has permanent exhibits on the history of dinosaurs and other natural science topics.
