Taste of Cayman Food & Drink Festival moved to 2022

Attendees at the 2019 Taste of Cayman Food and Drink Festival

The Taste of Cayman Food & Drink Festival has been postponed to 29 January 2022 in response to ongoing COVID-19 suppression measures for mass gatherings under the Prevention, Control and Suppression of COVID-19 Regulations 2021.

Mr Marc Langevin, President of the Cayman Islands Tourism Association said while the Cayman Islands Government had recently expanded the numbers allowed for outdoor public gatherings from 500 to 1,000 people, it was currently not feasible to plan for the festival for the current year.

“Taste of Cayman brings upward of 5,000 people together to celebrate the best of Cayman’s food and drink offerings, so under the current circumstances we cannot proceed this year,” he said.

“The Covid-19 pandemic has created an exceptional set of circumstances for our event and large events around the world, and while we are unable to hold our festival this year, we strongly encourage the people of Cayman to continue to support the hospitality, food and beverage industry in any way they can during these unprecedented times of economic hardship.”

“Once again, we thank the hospitality industry, our partners, sponsors, suppliers, and volunteers for their ongoing support of Taste of Cayman,” Mr Langevin said.

All ticket purchases for the previous dates will be honored when the festival is held in 2022. Any enquiries regarding ticketing should be directed to[email protected].
