stc partners with Cubic Telecom to accelerate entry for carmakers into Saudi Arabia with in−car connected software solutions

Dublin, Ireland. March 3, 2021. Award winning connected car solutions are coming to Saudi Arabia as Cubic Telecom, a world leader in connected vehicle software, partners with stc the Kingdom’s largest Mobile Network Operator (MNO) and leading digital ecosystem enabler in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The partnership means global automotive manufacturers can embed Cubic’s connected software at the point of manufacture to enable seamless regulatory-compliant connectivity services for cars sold in KSA.

Cubic’s software enables zero-touch device registration and in-car connectivity pre-configured for regulatory requirements in the region. stc is working with Cubic on a range of in-car services which support the Kingdom’s vision of people safety. This includes an ‘emergency call’ system which automatically alerts emergency services in the event of an accident.

The Kingdom is investing significantly in its telecommunications infrastructure and the government is working closely with stc to create robust networks, including plans for the largest 5G roll-out in the Middle East.
