GRAND CAYMAN, (GIS) – Cayman Islands Fire Service officers successfully extinguished a small, surface fire at the George Town landfill last night (Tuesday 12 March 2019), shortly after arriving on the scene.

CIFS personnel monitored the landfill throughout the night, and the Officer in Charge has confirmed this morning (Wednesday, 13 March) that there were no reoccurrences.
