Senior police officer demoted to police constable

 The Royal Cayman islands Police Service (RCIPS) confirmed on Friday (28) a former Royal Cayman Islands Police Service inspector has been returned to the rank of Constable after an internal investigation.

Their official statement said:

“We can confirm the officer in question was the subject of two disciplinary hearings. He was found not guilty of the offenses in one matter and guilty in the other matter. As you can appreciate, we are unable to discuss the findings and/or sanctions rendered as it is likely the referenced officer will be exercising his right of appeal.”

Ozzie Osbourne Bodden returns to PPM

After informing the media last year that he had left the People’s Progressive Movement because he was disgruntled with the way it was operating, former Bodden Town MLA, Osbourne (“Ozzie”)Bodden has rejoined them.

He said he was re-entering the political arena because he’s concerned about the current leadership.

Last August, East End MLA and former government minister, Arden Mclean, announced his resignation from the PPM and is now an Independent with North Side MLA, Ezzard Miller.
