New Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions appointed in Cayman Islands

DDPP Patrick M MoranThe Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions is pleased to announce the appointment of Patrick Michael Moran to the post of Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions. Mr. Moran joined the Office on March 2nd, 2015.

Mr. Moran was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1997 and was practicing from Chambers at 15 New Bridge Street, London where he built a practice which encompassed the prosecution of serious criminal offences. This included prosecutions on behalf of the Crown Prosecution Service and the Revenue and Customs Prosecutions Office. His areas of speciality include white collar crime, money laundering, and asset forfeiture. He has prosecuted on behalf of several UK government agencies and has appeared at courts of all levels, up to and including the House of Lords. Patrick is a qualified advocacy trainer for over 10 years in one of the Inns of Court (Inner Temple) and has spent several years as Head of Education, Training and Development in his Chambers. He has also worked on committees focused on the development of legal services within changing models for criminal litigation.
