National Contracts Commission Public Notice – NCC Contractor Registration

Kingston; September 21, 2012 – The Office of the Contractor General (OCG) has been requested by the Chairman of the National Contracts Commission (NCC), Mr. Raymond McIntyre, to use its good offices to issue the following NCC notice, via an official OCG Media Release, for and on behalf of the NCC.

“NCC CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION

PUBLIC NOTICE

To all GOJ Procuring Entities and all contracting firms desirous of obtaining National Contracts Commission registration or re-registration as Works Contractors (Grades 1 – 4) or as Suppliers of Goods and Services.

The National Contracts Commission (NCC) wishes to advise that with effect from 2012 October 01, the period for registration of contractors is increased from 12 months to 18 months.

The new period will apply to all contractors whose registration expires or expired after 2012 March 31 and includes those contractors who have currently applied for re-registration.

The extended period will not apply to contractors whose applications are being investigated by the Office of the Contractor General or who have been referred to the Central Investigation Bureau.

The NCC seeks the co-operation of all concerned in the efforts to improve the Contractor Registration System.”
