The Miss World Cayman Islands Organization (MWCI) invites the community to take part in the 3rd annual EnviroWalk 2022 5K Walk/Run on Sunday, 26th June 2022, 6:30 a.m to 9 a.m at Safehaven Drive, West Bay.

EnviroWalk is an annual fundraising event for the MWCI pageant and for Girl Power Limited, a non-for-profit organization that trains and mentors young women between the ages of 15 and 27 free of charge. Each year, proceeds from the walk/run go toward a local non-for-profit organization that is working to help bring awareness and protection to the Environment.

“In 2019 MWCI donated $500 to Plastic Free Cayman and in 2020, $500 was donated to the Protect our Future organization,” said Pamela Ebanks-Small, Director of MWCI. “The 2021 EnviroWalk was skipped due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so we are very excited that our annual fundraiser is back on the calendar, and more importantly, we are thrilled to play our part in bringing more awareness to our environment.” Ms. Ebanks-Small added.

Highlights to look forward to at the event include a 10-minute warm-up session led by MWCI’s fitness sponsor F45 just before the 5K Walk/Run begins. Current Miss World Cayman Islands, Rashana Hydes and event supporter, His Excellency Governor Martyn Roper will be leading the 5K Walk/Run. They will both run the 5K course as a friendly competition.

Following the event, participants are welcome to meet and greet the 2022 MWCI contestants. Participating sponsors include DMS Broadcasting, Radio Cayman, F45, Subway, Execution Sound, High Impact Media, Refuel, and WATA (Jacques Scott Group). Registration fee is $25 for adults, $15 for children (under 12).
