Miami J’ouvert Delivers Endless Caribbean Fun

From EBUZZ NEWS

Miami Carnival is anticipated annually. Thousands flock to the hot Miami Beach hotels, enjoying the Collins Avenue atmosphere in the days leading up to the J’ouvert on the Saturday and the parade of the bands on the Sunday. With endless restaurants shopping and entertainment options in this hub of fun, Caribbean people, who are traditionally fun at heart, have no problem settling in.

On Saturday morning all roads led to the Miami J’ouvert and EBUZZTT took in the action. In true Caribbean style, big trucks assembled, Djs from around the world gathered to bring the vibe to the people and crowds of eager fetters, penetrated the scene. Like any typical J’ouvert, there was paint, powder, water and lots of smiles. Along the venue, there were food stalls delivering sumptuous Caribbean cuisine which included many Jamaican dishes, like rice and peas and ox tail. There was also Trinidad and Tobago delights like Shark and fries and soup.

The enjoyment was unparalleled for most who came out to have fun. All inclusive J’ouvert packages purchased, they danced blissfully for the hours that seemed unending. Miami Carnival ambassador, Giselle the Wassi One, came through with the J’ouvert fun for her faithfuls who lapped it up. Artistes like Motto and Mandela Linkz performed and we also heard Skinny Banton in the mix. For most Soca artistes, Miami Carnival gives them the platform to release their potential hits ahead of Trinidad and Tobago’s Carnival each year.
