Miami, FL (Friday, September 29, 2023) – Concacaf has announced that Mexico will host the 2024 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Championship. The qualifying competition for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Dominican Republic 2024 will take place from February 1-11, 2024, at the headquarters of the Mexican Football Federation in Toluca, Mexico.

“We look forward to returning to Mexico for this important Concacaf women´s competition. The tournament will begin with an eight-team Group Stage consisting of the top two ranked nations, Mexico and the United States, and the six qualifying stage winners, Canada, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Haiti, Panama, and Puerto Rico (details on the 2023 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers are available here).

After Group Stage round-robin play, where each team will dispute three matches, the two group winners and runners-up will advance to the Knockout Stage.

The Knockout Stage will be played in a single-match direct elimination format, including Semifinals, Third-Place Match, and Final. At the conclusion of the event, the top three finishers will join the Dominican Republic (World Cup host) in the 2024 FIFA Women’s U-17 World Cup, for a total of four Concacaf participants.

The official draw for the 2024 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Championship is scheduled for October 3, 2023, at the Concacaf Headquarters in Miami, FL.
