Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred at Rum Point Tuesday night.

Around 8:00 p.m. police say a 31-year-old woman stabbed a 26-year-old man in the back with a knife.

“The victim was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital, George Town by ambulance and he is conscious,” a police spokesperson tells Cayman 27.

The matter is under investigation by Bodden Town detectives. Anyone who may have witnessed the stabbing is asked to contact DC 351 Khaleshiah Barboram at 947-2240 or 947-2220.
