Yesterday, Sunday, 14 November, officers responded to a report of an indecent assault which had occurred earlier that morning.

A woman was being driven home by a man known to her.

While travelling along South Church Street, the man pulled over, made sexual advances towards the woman and touched her indecently.

However, while travelling along West Bay Road, the woman was able to get out of the vehicle and the man drove away.

Later that afternoon, officers arrested a man, age 49 of George Town, on suspicion of indecent assault in relation to the incident.

He remains in custody as investigations continue.
