Yesterday, Wednesday, 11 November, officers had cause to search of a residence in George Town. The search was conducted by RCIPS detectives and firearms officers, with the assistance of the K-9 Unit.

During the search a handgun was recovered, along with ammunition.

A man age, 27 of East End, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of possession of an unlicensed firearm. He remains in custody as investigations continue.
