Judge Patricia Lynch QC who told racist thug John Hennigan, ‘you’re a bit of a c***’, CLEARED of misconduct

Nazi-saluting yob had subjected the judge to a foul-mouthed tirade before she bit back

THE  judge who stunned a courtroom by branding a Nazi-saluting thug “a bit of a c***” has been cleared of any wrongdoing.

Patricia Lynch QC bit back after repeat offender John Hennigan call her a “c***” when she jailed him for 18 months for racist abuse.

Judge Patricia Lynch QC told John Hennigan “You are a bit of a c**t yourself. Being offensive to me doesn’t help.”

The exchange was widely reported at the time and prompted public complaints which were sent to the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office (JCIO) for consideration.

The QC has since since “apologised unreservedly for her remarks.”

She told investigators she “deeply regretted the incident” and said her “remarks were a momentary lapse of concentration.”

Hennigan was sentenced for his ninth breach of an Anti Social Behaviour Order in 11 years after he racially abused a Caribbean woman in Harrow, Essex.

After he was jailed he told Judge Lynch QC she was “a bit of a c***”.

She then retorted: “You are a bit of a c**t yourself. Being offensive to me doesn’t help.”

Hennigan shouted back: “Go f*** yourself.”

The judge barked back: “You too.”

Hennigan then banged on the glass panel of the dock at Chelmsford Crown Court, performed a Nazi salute and twice shouted “Sieg Heil” before starting to sing “Jews gas them all…”.
