Genesis Motor Europe

Frankfurt, Germany, 19 February 2024:  Genesis Motor Europe has announced the appointment of Joerg Poggenpohl as its Head of Marketing and PR. Based at the company’s regional headquarters in Germany, Joerg joined the brand on February 1, 2024.

He reports directly to Lawrence Hamilton, Managing Director for Europe, and will oversee the development and execution of Genesis’ brand and marketing strategies. With an extensive brand and marketing background in the premium and luxury automotive industry, Joerg brings over 25 years of experience to the luxury Korean brand. 

Prior to joining Genesis, he served as the Global Executive Director for Digital Marketing, Media, Innovations and Transformation at BMW Group. With a wealth of expertise spanning over 15 years in data-driven Customer, Brand, Sales, and Marketing Management, Joerg has a proven ability to lead international cross-functional teams, innovative marketing strategies, and impactful and award-winning campaigns. He has also driven digital transformation initiatives, pioneered modern urban retail concepts, and executed high-level experiential marketing formats on a global scale.
