IOC launches innovative Paris 2024 mobile game ahead of Olympic Games

16 April 2024 – The International Olympic Committee (IOC) and nWay have announced the launch of Olympics™ Go! Paris 2024 – the official mobile game for the Olympic Games Paris 2024.

This innovative game is a hybrid causal sports and simulation title that merges city-building elements with the sports events of the Games in Paris to provide a truly unique Olympic gaming experience.

Players will be able to compete in a number of exciting arcade-style Olympic events, including breaking, fencing, archery, golf and swimming, while building up their dream city around Olympic venues with iconic landmarks. Every victory unlocks new upgrade options! The game, which will be released globally on June 11 across iOS, Android and PC, will play a key role in engaging fans around the world as the build-up to Paris 2024 continues ahead of the Opening Ceremony on 26 July.

Olympics™ Go! Paris 2024 encapsulates the Olympic spirit and global appeal of the Olympic Games Paris 2024,” said Elisabeth Allaman, Deputy Managing Director of IOC Television and Marketing Services.

“By integrating iconic Olympic sports and introducing innovative ones like breaking, the game reflects the Olympics’ commitment to promoting diversity and modernity while inspiring excellence and camaraderie among the participants. We are pleased to bring this new gaming experience to fans worldwide.”

Kristen Salvatore, Co-CEO of nWay, commented: “Is there any more exciting and true representation of the thrill of competition than the Olympic Games? We at nWay are thrilled to announce our upcoming game in celebration of the Olympic Games Paris 2024. The game we’ve developed with the IOC, Olympics Go! Paris 2024, captures the spirit of the Olympics and brings it to players everywhere.”

The collaboration with nWay is the latest development of the IOC’s global licensing programme – an initiative driven by Olympic Agenda 2020+5 that aims to engage and connect fans through official Olympic merchandise, while also strengthening and promoting the Olympic brand, not only during but also between editions of the Olympic Games. Through the sale of official merchandise, collectibles and souvenirs, the Olympic licensing programmes offer fans a tangible connection to the Games and the Olympic values. Items can be explored at and purchased from the official Olympic online shop.

The development of Olympics™ Go! Paris 2024 follows previous collaborations with nWay, which have included officially licensed NFT digital pins and the Olympic Games Jam: Beijing 2022 mobile game.
