HBO’S Veep returns to the White House

dsUoP3zKLbY.market_maxresHBO Latin America is happy to announce the return of HBO’s Emmy® nominated original comedy series Veep, with season 3 premiering on April 6th in the Caribbean, simultaneously with the United States.

Set in Washington D.C., the satirical political comedy Veep follows the whirlwind day-to-day of Vice President Selina Meyer, portrayed by Emmy® winner and Golden Globe® nominee Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

Miami, FL – March 26, 2014 – HBO Latin America announced the premiere of the third season of the Emmy® nominated original comedy series Veep, starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Emmy® winner and Golden Globe® nominee for her performance in the series) as United States Vice President Selina Meyer. This satirical political comedy, set in Washington D.C., will debut on April 6th in the Caribbean, simultaneously with the United States.

After the revelation at the end of season two that the president will not run for reelection, season three begins with Selina eyeing a promotion and courting Iowa caucus voters at a signing for her new book, “Some New Beginnings.” Selina and her staff, back in D.C. for Mike’s (Matt Walsh) wedding, soon learn that Secretary of Defense Maddox (Isiah Whitlock Jr.) is resigning – setting Selina up for a possible run in the presidential primaries against Maddox and her nemesis, war vet Danny Chung (Randall Park).

Over the course of this season’s ten episodes, Selina and her staff will set up an exploratory campaign office in D.C. and travel to Silicon Valley to raise money and to London to meet with heads of state, while Amy (Anna Chlumsky) and Dan (Reid Scott) vie to be Selina’s campaign manager.

Created and executive produced by Armando Iannucci, Veep’s stellar cast includes Tony Hale (Emmy® winner for his role) as Selina’s bodyman Gary; Anna Chlumsky (Emmy®-nominated for her role) as her chief of staff Amy; Matt Walsh (Hung) as Meyer’s spokesperson Mike; Reid Scott (My Boys) as ambitious political aide Dan; Timothy C. Simons (Days Together) as White House liaison-turned-political gossip blogger Jonah; and Sufe Bradshaw (Prison Break) as Meyer’s executive assistant Sue.

New series regulars include Kevin Dunn (True Detective, Luck) as Ben, the president’s chief of staff. Guests this season include Gary Cole (Entourage), Kathy Najimy (King of the Hill), Christopher Meloni (True Blood), and Zach Woods (Silicon Valley). This season was executive produced by Ianucci in addition to Christopher Godsick and Frank Rich; co-executive produced by Simon Blackwell and Tony Roche; and produced by Stephanie Laing and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

While there, a heavily armed paramilitary group storms into the building, and now this policeman must try to save the president, his daughter and the country.

He seeks help from PJ Puznowski, a wild and unpredictable Texan rodeo queen, as an accomplice to play the role of an 11170394_800attractive woman who inherited the painting from her grandfather during the end of WWII. Now with PJ loose in London, Harry’s plan may not go as planned.
