Exciting news at Cayman 27 & WestStar

images_1 This Sunday (22), Cayman 27 takes on a new look and feel thanks to a first of its kind licensing agreement in the Cayman Islands with CBS Studios International. Cayman 27 has obtained exclusive rights to broadcast some of the most popular CBS programming on its free-over-the-air channel.

 

Programming Director Anita Smith says, “Viewers will be able to enjoy a wide range of programming that is both informative and educational including The Talk, Dr. Phil, The Doctors, CBS Evening News and much more.” “We are extremely pleased to announce the addition of CBS News CAYMAN27content to our line up including programmes like 60 Minutes and the CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley,” says Broadcast General Manager April Cummings adding, “This is an excellent complement to our own Cayman 27 News products and talk shows. For late night fans who enjoy a good laugh, The Late Show with David Letterman is also added to the Cayman 27 schedule.”

 

Cayman 27 News and 27 Tonight continue to evolve into the best source of information about all things Cayman, whether happening locally or internationally. Our new relationship with CBS not only continues to deliver all the popular prime time shows like Survivor and the 48 Hours Mystery series, but it also enables our viewers to watch Cayman 27/CBS relationship exclusive programming, such as:

These shows and more are exclusive to Cayman 27 – only on WestStar.

 

Beginning September 22nd, Cayman 27 will be simulcast on the CBS cable channels for two weeks, to help viewers get used to the change. After this two week transition period Cayman 27 SD and HD will be the home of CBS on WestStar. That same day WestStar will launch a brand new channel, City TV, on cable channel 22 (channel 29 on Fuse TV).

 

Also starting Monday morning, September 23rd, viewers will wake up to a new extended Daybreak broadcasting from 6.30 am – 8am.
