Cayman: East End Artist Carmen Conolly Presents Art to Premier

Grand Cayman, 19 February 2024 – Premier Hon. Juliana O’Connor-Connolly was presented an original work of art by Caymanian artist and East End native, Carmen Eugenia Conolly, at the Office of the Premier, Government Administration Building on Elgin Avenue recently.

In presenting the embroidered art work, titled, ‘Cayman Sea Breeze,’ to the Premier, Mrs. Conolly stated that she got the inspiration for the piece after taking a ride on a submarine.

A highly respected member of the Caymanian community, Mrs. Conolly continues to support the Islands’ rich heritage through her creative pieces. She was recently appointed a Member of the Order of the Cayman Islands for services to the community, contributions to the arts and preservation of Caymanian heritage. Mrs. Conolly is also a recipient of the National Heroes Day award in the category of Cultural Artists and Creatives.
