Digicel’s F1RST out the blocks

20140222073526610_1Zen nightclub [in Trindad] was transformed into an exciting and interactive Experience Zone on Tuesday, February 18 on the occasion of the launch of F1RST’s mobile app.

F1RST is the first “Caribbean built” cutting edge technological advancement that consists of an online search engine and a fresh and dynamic mobile app aimed at bringing daily information about businesses, services and products at users’ fingertips.

Digicel’s key partnership with F1RST highlights the company’s innovative character and its commitment to bring affordable, accessible content to its users through its fast and reliable 4G network.

The venue hosted different interactive zones where patrons could get up close and personal not only with the products showcased by the various participating sponsors but also with the new technology.

Addressing the audience was Digicel’s Chief Operations Officer Sacha Thompson who highlighted the close alignment between the Digicel brand and F1RST.

She noted “Digicel has transformed the telecoms markets and broken monopolies by taking the biggest and the best global ideas, technologies and innovations and adding our own local twist- making it relevant, useful and meaningful for our customers in the countries where we operate.”

“The F1RST app is exactly that – a lifestyle brand that helps us navigate our everyday lives – bringing home a global concept, satisfying a huge consumer need in the local market, making it relevant, useful and meaningful to the Caribbean people. Our focus at Digicel has always been consumer-driven as we aim to cater and fulfill the needs of our customers by leading the way in making communications available and accessible”, Thompson added.

The first follower of the flagship store, Kern Elliot, was the lucky winner of the latest BLU Life Play smartphone. Guests were also entertained by Digicel endorsee Swappi to end off the evening.

Android users can now visit the Play Store and download the F1RST app on their Digicel 4G smart devices.
