From Times Caribbean

The good news continue to roll in for St.Kitts-Nevis as one of the World’s Premier Tourist destination. The twin-island paradise is the only Caribbean destination listed among the Robb Report’s World’s Top Ten Emerging Luxury Destination .
Robb Report’s travel experts scoured the planet from sea to sea and coast to coast for the next new luxury destinations.
The Robb Report’s Top Ten Emerging Luxury Destinations are:

1. Sri-Lanka
2. Namibia
3. Puglia, Italy
4. Bogota, Colombia
5. Zanzibar
6. Duor Valley, Portugal
7. Chengdu, China
8. Oman
9. St.Kitts
10. Bordrum, Turkey

The Robb Report states “Still relatively unsung compared with much of the Caribbean, St.Kitts the lush West Indies isle is seeing careful development that promises to attract discerning travelers.

The $600 million community Kittitian Hill, which debuted in late 2014, currently includes a hotel, an organic farm, 76 vacation homes, and an “edible” golf course called Irie Fields. On the southern end of the island, the 2,500-acre Christophe Harbour opened its superyacht marina last February and is expanding to include 300 berths, a Tom Fazio–designed golf course, and the forthcoming 125-room Park Hyatt St. Kitts. Welcoming all of the island’s VIP visitors is the RLB International Airport’s new Yu Lounge, a private terminal offering expedited customs clearance and Porsche Cayenne transfers.

Minister of Tourism Lindsay Grant has been at the helm of the Island’s Tourism Ministry for less than a year and has already established himself as one of the most progressive Tourism Minister’s in the Caribbean. His leadership of St.Kitts’ rapidly growing and emerging status as one of the world’s premier Luxury destinations has been visionary. Minister Grant describes the country’s new Tourism thrust focus as one which caters to the “LIFESTYLES VISITOR”. The visitor who stays longer and spends more. Grant feels that the destination can become one of the World’s Top Luxury destinations . With this listing of the island on the Worlds Top Emerging Luxury destinations for the first time ever Grant’s vision is certainly coming to past.

Robb Report is widely acknowledged to be an industry trend forecaster, with the report indicating emerging luxury travel destinations and providing valuable insight into travel decisions made by the worlds travel elite.
