FURTHER UPDATE: Dead body discovered off Courts Road GT – man named

Suspicious death – man named

Detectives investigating the death of the 35-year-old man, whose body was found in a pond on Spruce Lane yesterday morning, have confirmed that although no formal identification has taken place as yet, they believe that the man is Patrick Williamson, also known as ‘Carlos’. Mr. Williamson was a Jamaican national who resided in Courts Road.

Further to our previous release:

The male found deceased earlier this morning is believed to be a 35 year old Jamaican National. He was reported missing from his home address at Courts Road yesterday (Sunday) evening. It is believed that he was last seen alive during the early hours of Saturday 26th October 2013
A Family Liaison Officer has been appointed and a post mortem examination will take place in due course to establish cause of death.

Further information will be made available once the bereaved family have been updated.

Body of male found

This morning at about 7am police were notified of a body of a male found in a pond on Spruce Lane, off Courts Rd. GT.

Detectives and Scenes of Crime officers have attended the scene. Police is treating the death as suspicious and an investigation into the matter is ongoing.

CITN/Cayman27 are reporting the RCIPS received a report of a missing person around 3:17 p.m. Sunday (27 October), after which an investigation was launched.

Around 7:30 a.m. Monday (28), a body was discovered off Courts Road, Eastern Avenue (by Cox Lumber) in George Town. Officers are investigating whether or not this is the body of the missing person.
