Arrest on Suspicion of Dangerous Driving and Assaulting Police in George Town in Early Morning Hours

At about 12:45AM this morning, 2 September, officers pursued a vehicle that failed to stop. The vehicle was pursued to the vicinity of Grescott Lane and Rock Hole Road, where the vehicle, a Grey Honda Accord, crashed into a parked car. The two men in the vehicle got out of the car and ran, pursued by officers. One of the men was apprehended.

No injuries resulted from the collision and the damage to the parked car was not extensive. The man, age 22, of George Town, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop, resisting arrest and assaulting police.
