SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO–(Marketwired – Aug 3, 2016) –  C&W Networks, a subsidiary of Cable & Wireless Communications, (C&W), one of the largest full service communications and entertainment providers in the Caribbean and Latin America region, now part of Liberty Global (LiLAC Group), is pleased to announce that it has received the MEF Carrier Ethernet 2.0 (CE2.0) industry standard certification for E-LINE, E-LAN, E-TREE and E-ACCESS services. The industry certifications represent a milestone for C&W Networks, further accelerating its ability to deliver a more dynamic and customized Ethernet portfolio of services to many more locations across the Caribbean and Latin America region. C&W Networks passed a very rigorous testing process covering a full set of requirements including performance and bandwidth profiles. “By becoming MEF CE 2.0 certified, we have demonstrated our ability to meet the high performance, high reliability, and scalability standards required by our customers’ demanding, business-critical interconnection. These certifications are a credit to our hardworking teams, and we are looking forward to being a critical part of the Caribbean and Latin American industry transition to agile and assured, interconnections. In short, we are future-proofing our industry leading network across the region, making it stronger, scalable and resilient for our customers,” stated Paul Scott, President, C&W Networks.

“MEF congratulates C&W Networks for the company’s outstanding achievement in receiving CE 2.0 certification across the full range of services,” said Nan Chen, President of MEF. “The company has demonstrated not only the ability to offer the highest level of standardized, interoperable services, but has also created the high-performance foundation for future service innovation for years to come.”
