Cubic Telecom moves to “Challenger” position in Gartner Magic Quadrant 2021

Cubic Telecom

Annual Gartner Magic Quadrant for Managed IoT Connectivity Services 2021 names Cubic Telecom as Challenger

Dublin, Ireland. 20 April 2021. A recent report published by Gartner has named Cubic Telecom, IoT connected software company, a ‘Challenger’ in its annual Magic Quadrant analysis. The 2021 Magic Quadrant comprises eighteen global IoT connectivity service providers, mapped across a graphical competitive positioning into four categories. The results are based on in-depth analysis into each technology provider’s completeness of vision, and ability to execute.

Cubic Telecom has moved from the ‘Niche Player’ category in the 2019 report to ‘Challenger’ in the 2021 report. Cubic delivers connected software solutions to over five million live vehicles and devices, in over 100 countries.

During 2020, Cubic significantly increased the breadth and depth of its partnerships and solutions, for example:

  • Driving market innovation with first of its kind data traffic classification service – PLXOR. This arms Cubic’s customers with visualised data so they can personalise connected experiences throughout the vehicle lifecycle.
  • Collaborating with CNH Industrial’s agricultural brands to provide connected vehicle software across tractor, harvester, and crop protection models. This gathers real-time data to help farmers increase productivity and streamline efficiencies.
  • Launching a first-to-market safe, secure, and compliant IoT solution in Brazil, a significant market for its blue-chip customers in the automotive and agriculture industries.
  • Partnering with satellite communications company Kymeta to offer a radical satellite-cellular hybrid connectivity package. This brings cost savings and coverage reliability to first responders, government agencies, and commercial off-road services.

“Today we are celebrating with the team, having moved from “Niche Player” to “Challenger” in the Gartner Magic Quadrant 2021,” said Cubic CEO, Barry Napier. “This further validates the strength of Cubic’s connected software offerings and continued growth in the IoT market, as well as our ability to execute on our vision. We have been working as a strategic partner to world-class brands for more than a decade across the automotive, transportation, and agriculture industries, enabling customers on their journey to become software-driven.”

The Gartner Magic Quadrant for Managed IoT Connectivity Services was published on 25th March 2021.
