COVID-19 Update from Cayman Islands National Museum

The Cayman Islands National Museum has taken the decision to temporarily close the National Museum Admissions and Shop for the week of 16-20 March 2020, while we monitor the local emergence of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the Cayman Islands. Museum Staff are focusing on Operations, Administration, and Curatorial roles, as well as Exhibition care and maintenance, and restocking the Shop.  Our intention is to reopen Admissions and the Shop the following week, pending ongoing developments.

Until given the all clear, the Museum has suspended group activities: including our Speaker’s Series, Looky Ya! Events, public festivals & gatherings, attendance at community events & meetings, and off-site visits.

We dearly value our Museum Members, Visitors, and Staff, and will keep you abreast of Museum news through email and social media in the coming weeks. We are monitoring, assessing, and adjusting our responses accordingly – with guidance and recommendations from the Cayman Islands Government (‘CIG’), Health Service Authority (‘HSA’) and the Hazard Management Cayman Islands (‘HMCI’).

Be Safe & Thank You for your vital support of the Cayman Islands National Museum!
