Counsel appointment for Appleby

Leading offshore law firm Appleby has announced the appointment of Adam Geldard to the position of Counsel in its Cayman office. This promotion, effective 2 April 2012, further reflects the firm’s strength and depth across its Property group.

Adam practises principally in the area of property and commercial law, specialising in property development, strata and other structured title ownership, contract law, commercial and residential conveyancing, property finance and commercial leasing. He joined the firm in 2007 and prior to that he worked in London for Government and in Australia for top-tier law firms Mallesons Stephen Jaques and Baker & McKenzie.

The announcement follows a number of recent appointments and promotions by the Appleby Group, including the arrival of Peter McMaster, QC and Christopher Russell, both as Partner’s in the Litigation and Insolvency Practice Group in Cayman.
