The Cayman Islands Real Estate Brokers Association (CIREBA) recently made a donation to The BootCamp/Best Life Training Centre for a women’s self defense one day seminar, hosted at the Centre located in Industrial Park.

The course was taught by award winning Avital Zeisler, the creator of The Soteria Method which was the basis of the seminar held by Best Life. As a sexual assault survivor, Avital knows firsthand the importance of women being able to protect themselves. She used her own personal trauma that she experienced as her motivation to become a self defense expert and exceptional speaker who brings women a unique and exclusive method of self defense, fitness and empowerment.

CIREBA sponsored 10 tickets for the seminar which were given to female real estate agents and other females that work with or are members of CIREBA.

Maureen Cubbon, Wellness Coordinator at Best Life Training Centre said, “With so many crimes against women in today’s society, it is important for us to be capable of defending ourselves. We at Best Life are happy to be able to help provide women with that knowledge through seminars such as these.”

Jeanette Totten, President of CIREBA, further stated, “CIREBA is pleased to contribute to Best Life and support the empowerment of our own and women in general.”

Cubbon explained, “We are very grateful to receive this support from CIREBA.  We appreciate it and we look forward to empowering more people in our community.”

The seminar offered by The Best Life Training Centre, was an introductory seminar. Another upcoming introductory seminar taught by Avital Zeisler is scheduled for April 5 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm. This seminar is appropriate for new-comers and those who have attended previously. The cost for tickets is CI$75.00.  Ongoing classes in women’s self defense will continue to be offered.
