CIDOT bolsters team in 2023 with new hires & new appointments

The Cayman Islands Department of Tourism (CIDOT) is pleased to announce the hiring of a robust cohort of Caymanian talent in 2023.

The CIDOT is proud to welcome eleven talented individuals to the team and to announce the promotion of three dedicated team members, strengthening the department’s commitment to excellence in promoting the Cayman Islands.

The CIDOT warmly welcomes to the team:

  • Raquel James-Weise as Operations Administrator,
  • Faith Powery as Executive Officer I,
  • Gabrielle Beckford as Executive Officer I,
  • Raejani Lopez as Public Relations Officer,
  • Lori-Ann Whittaker as Public Relations Assistant,
  • Tatiana Ramoon as Marketing Officer (Events)
  • Tyra McField as Marketing Assistant
  • Sawyer Clements as Research Officer,
  • Marina Payne as Tourism Development Coordinator (Scholarships & Education),
  • Hannah Peralta as Tourism Development Coordinator and;
  • Oney Soler Gonzalez as Accounts Officer I (Payables).

These new hires bring a wealth of unique skills and experiences to the team, adding fresh perspectives and enhancing the department’s ability to promote the distinctive offerings of our destination to a global audience. These new hires and appointments highlight the department’s dedication to maintaining a strong workforce that reflects the vibrant culture of the Cayman Islands.

In addition to the new hires, the CIDOT is also pleased to share the new appointments of three devoted team members, Cindy Powery as Customer Service Representative, Kaleigh Thompson as Tourism Services Supervisor and Alyssa Cayasso as Marketing Officer (Tourism Services).

Director of Tourism, Mrs. Rosa Harris, commented on the new hires and promotions, “The CIDOT continues to take pride in and nurture our local Caymanian talent, and we are thrilled to welcome eleven exceptional individuals to our department this year. As we continue to elevate the Cayman Islands’ profile on the international stage, this growth in our team promises to accelerate the department’s goals and objectives.

Over the past few months, our new team members have shown a readiness to serve our industry and diligence and commitment in their new roles, and we are delighted to have such hardworking individuals be a part of the department. We look forward to seeing their diverse backgrounds and expertise contribute to our ongoing efforts to position the Cayman Islands as a premier destination.”
