CIBA says it has no affiliation with Lewinson

peter and butchwebThe Cayman Islands Boxing Association (CIBA) has issued a statement from its President, Terence Spencer, that the CIBA “has absolutely no affiliation with Mr. [Peter] Lewison.”

ATTENTION:

“The Cayman Islands Boxing Association (CIBA), located at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex, is a non-profit body which is responsible for the overall implementation, development and management of the sport of boxing up to the Olympic Level and all programs held at the Dalmain Ebanks boxing facility.

CIBA consistently strives to ensure that our programs instill the characteristics of discipline, respect, honour, nutrition mental and physical wellness in all activities for the edification of the youth and members who participate in our boxing programs.

CIBA would hereby like it to be known that we have absolutely no affiliation with Mr. Peter Lewinson or Lightning Boy Promotions as he is a professional Boxer and not a part of our programme.

CIBA would hereby also like to clarify that we have no affiliation to any other professional boxing athlete and/or promotional company whether local or international as it is against our rules and regulations outlined by our governing body (AIBA – International Boxing Assocaition).

All matters related to or arising from professional boxing events are the sole responsibility of the individual and/or company promoting administering the event.
