Cayman: UK Non-Executive Directors Association CEO to speak at Risk Management Seminar for Directors

Management consulting firm, FTS Cayman is hosting an AML Risk Management Seminar exclusively for Directors. The half-day seminar at Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort on 21 July, will provide AML training specific to the role played by Non-Executive Directors (NEDs) and other directors in the Cayman Islands.

Paul Byles, Director of FTS, said: “This seminar is a great opportunity for all directors to meet their annual AML training requirements and hear from local and international industry experts.”

Designed to help directors improve their oversight of an entity’s AML risk management, it is an interactive discussion featuring local and international guest speakers.

Louis Cooper, is Chief Executive and one of the founders of the UK’s Non-Executive Directors’ Association (‘NEDA’) and leads its NED and board training, education and advisory services. With over 25 years’ experience in governance, risk and assurance services and in public practice he has worked for all of the ‘Big 4’ Accounting firms and for six years was a partner at the UK top 10 audit firm Crowe Clark Whitehill (now Crowe UK), where he led the Risk & Assurance team.

Rohan Bromfield, Head of the Fiduciary Services Division at the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority, is responsible for directing a programme of continuous monitoring and inspection of licensed trust companies, company managers and corporate service providers. He also assists with providing advice and guidance to the Authority’s Board of Directors and the industry on developments within the fiduciary services sector.

This seminar will also feature an online test, after which attendees will receive a formal AML training certificate. The seminar registration fee is CI $400 / US $487.80.
