Cayman: Truman Bodden Law School publishes new book

Author and Law School Deputy Director Scott Atkins places a copy of his book on a shelf at the School’s Library.

Truman Bodden Law School’s Academic Press has recently published the third edition of Equity & Trusts, a textbook explaining the English law of trusts.

Written by Law School Deputy Director Scott Atkins, this is the third edition of his work, which is designed to guide undergraduate students at the Law School in understanding an area which is traditionally seen to be complex and difficult.

Author Atkins said, “The book is written to give students a comprehensive introduction to this tricky subject. The book will support and underpin the students’ learning whilst giving them a rounded knowledge of the law of trusts. It is written in a user-friendly manner, with diagrams and flow-charts included alongside the text. Students in the past have always received it well.”

Director of the Law School Mitchell Davies commented, “It is pleasing that TBLS Academic Press can add another title to its portfolio in addition to the books written to support other courses that we offer. Staff at TBLS continue to show depth to their teaching by researching and writing scholarly literature for the students’ benefit.”
