Tower founder and managing director, Lynne Byles, was honored with the Cayman Islands Marketing Association’s first ‘Pioneer’ award in recognition of her significant and lasting contribution to the marketing industry in the Cayman Islands.

Full-service marketing agency, Tower was crowned Agency of the Year at the annual 2023 Cayman Islands Marketing Professionals Association (CIMPA) awards held on Friday. The awards come as the agency marks 25 years of operation in the Cayman Islands.

Agency founder and managing director, Lynne Byles, was also honored with the Association’s first ever ‘Pioneer’ award in recognition of her significant and lasting contribution to the marketing industry in the Cayman Islands.

“Being named Agency of the Year is a reflection of the talent and passion of our team who have the trust of our clients to do the type of work that gets noticed, talked about and makes us proud,” Ms Byles said.

Reflecting on her 25 years of business in the Cayman Islands, Byles paid tribute to not only her current team but the large number of alumni who had been with the agency over the years.

“We are proud of the people we have trained who have contributed to the company and have moved on to senior roles across government, media, not-for-profits and private sector, taking with them Tower’s approach of strategic thinking and creative ideas to other organisations across Cayman,” she said.

In presenting the Pioneer award, CIMPA chair, Hollie Whitelocke recognized the legacy Byles had made to the local industry and paid tribute to her extraordinary contributions made over many years.

“Lynne has set the ground work for future Caymanian marketers and business to thrive, and has done so much for the community through her work and through the professional development she offers her team,” she said.

Over the years, Tower has distinguished itself in Cayman through its sponsorship of community initiatives and pro-bono work for non-profits such as the Alex Panton Foundation, Cayman Connection’s Making Waves awards, Red Cross Cayman Islands, LIFE and Academy Sports Clubs.

Rounding out the awards scoop for the agency, Tower account manager, Stephanie Christian, was recognized as ‘Rising star of the Year’. The agency’s client, Health City Cayman Islands also received awards for Community Impact, for which Tower produced creative design assistance, and Video of the Year, which was produced by Tower in collaboration with local videographer Jason Kennedy.

The annual CIMPA awards celebrate and reward outstanding work in the Cayman Islands community showcasing excellence in branding, campaigns, community impact, creative work, video and web/app production, as well as the accomplishments of individuals.
