Cayman: RCIPS Calls for Cessation of Harmful Content on Social Media

The RCIPS is aware of a video that has been posted to social media that includes explicit and harmful content including claims of sexual assault.

Police are investigating this incident, and have identified the individual responsible.  Police are working with agency partners to provide appropriate intervention.  

The RCIPS can confirm that they have found no evidence or information to substantiate the claims made by the individual, and ask the public and social media outlets to cease spreading harmful content which may cause unnecessary alarm and distress to the community.
