Cayman: Police investigate armed robbery on North Church Street

Shortly after 12:00AM today, 10 June, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at a bar on North Church Street, just north of Fort Street. It was reported that a masked man approached a ticket booth at the location, brandished a firearm and demanded money from the workers there. The man pushed one of the workers to the ground, and then made off with a money till containing a quantity of cash. The man was last seen riding a bicycle in the direction of Mary Street. No shots were fired and no one was injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as being about 5’6” tall, of slim build, and was wearing a dark hoodie and black ski mask.

The matter is under investigation and anyone with any information, or who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area around the time of the incident, is asked to contact George Town CID and 949-4222.
