Cayman: New COVID-19 testing requirement for international travel to the USA

From Cayman Airways

As of December 6, 2021, all passengers flying into the United States of America (USA) aboard international flights must present a negative COVID-19 PCR or certified Antigen LFT test result taken no more than one day prior to departure, in order to travel. This requirement comes under a new international air travel policy introduced by the United States Government that is applicable to all nationalities.

In accordance with this new policy, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will now require all international passengers (regardless of vaccination status or citizenship), aged two and over, to present proof of a negative COVID-19 test as noted, at the time of check-in for their flight. Official documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 in the past 90 days before departure will also be accepted, per the CDC. For more details, visit this page on the CDC website: www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/testing-international-air-travelers.html

Passengers on flights before December 6th may take the test within 72 hours prior to departure.
