Cayman: Motor Vehicle Collision at the Frank Sound Junction, involving a School Bus

Update (3:30PM):

The roadway at the Frank Sound junction was made safe and was re-opened for regular use.

As a result of the collision, four persons involved were transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital by ambulance, where three were treated and released. The fourth person remained in the hospital with what are believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The Cayman Islands Fire Service also attended the scene of the collision and extinguished a fire that was caused from the impact of the collision.

The collision is being investigated by the Traffic and Roads Policing Unit. Anyone with information pertaining to the circumstances of the collision is encouraged to call 649-6254 or the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.

Motor Vehicle Collision at the Frank Sound Junction, 12 April Police are currently on scene at a motor vehicle collision involving a school bus. The collision took place at the Frank Sound junction and the road has been partially closed. No children were involved in the collision.

Officers have made a path for motorists to travel in order to safely get pass the collision scene. Motorists are being asked to exercise caution while traveling in this area and to expect delays.

The RCIPS apologises for any inconveniences the collision may have caused.
