Having recently celebrated the beginning of a new year with parties and families and friends we should not forget the hundreds of children in the Cayman Islands who faced hunger last year and will continue to do so in 2012.

In an effort to support the continuing work of the foundation and enable Feed our Future to accept more children into their programme a financial boost was pledged early in the New Year.  The Cayman Islands Yellow Pages did not hesitate to contact us with their support, which allowed Feed our Future to accept additional children into the programme from Sir John A. Cumber Primary, a school they have been supporting since last year.  Eileen Keens, the Marketing Manager for Global Directories, publishers of the Cayman Islands Yellow Pages ® mentioned that it is an absolute pleasure to be able to support Feed Our Future as no child should have to spend a day in school without a healthy lunch.  Local organizations have a significant role to play.  We encourage other companies, from the private sector, to lend a hand as it is essential to assist in ensuring the programme continues to provide this most valuable service to the schools in the Cayman Islands”, added Eileen.

Established in 2011 Feed our Future exists to solve childhood hunger and support the intellectual nourishment of children in the Cayman Islands through the funding of nutritionally balanced school meals to children in need.  “We know that we can deliver one solution, that is to connect children to healthy, nutritious meals where they learn and play and are very grateful to the generosity of our corporate donors in enabling this.  Through the generous support of donors such as the Cayman Islands Yellow Pages we are ready and equipped to act and provide immediate support to our children and schools.”
