Two Men Arrested on Suspicion of Drug Offences during Proactive Patrol in West Bay

During the course of a proactive patrol today along Fountain Road, West Bay detectives arrested two men, ages 44 and 45, from West Bay, on suspicion of possession of drugs, consumption, and other drug-related offences. The 45-year-old man also resisted arrest.

In response to community concerns about anti-social behavior in West Bay, proactive patrols such as this one have been taking place around the district.

Investigative Operation in West Bay Yields Two Burglary Arrests

On Thursday, 24 March, West Bay CID responded to a report of a burglary in the vicinity of Uncle Jimmy Lane in West Bay during which a flat screen television, assorted diving gear, and other electronics articles were stolen. Utilizing evidence gathered from the scene, detectives executed a two-day operation to locate and arrest the suspects involved.

Two man, ages 18 and 21, both from West Bay, were arrested on suspicion of committing this burglary on 30 March. This morning they were charged with burglary and will appear in court today.

The property stolen during this burglary has still not been located. The stolen property includes the following items:

– A flat-screen 32” Seiki TV

– Assorted dive gear, including O’Neill dive gloves and lights, a Go PRO dual battery charger, wrist mount and rechargeable battery, and 2 Finger Reel Dive Spools

– A laptop cooler with vacuum fan

– iPhone 4 and charging cable

– Rain coat suit (black pants, red jacket)

Burglary at Primary School Discovered Yesterday Morning, 31 March

Just after 11AM yesterday, 31 March, officers responded to a report of a burglary at East End Primary School, where a lap top computer and flat screen television had been found to be missing from one of the classrooms. The classroom had last been secured on Thursday evening, 24 March, before the Easter break. The method of entry into the classroom has not yet been determined.
