The Hurleys Media Group of Companies has announced that it will further expand its media broadcasting reach with the asset purchase by Hurley’s Entertainment Corp. Ltd. of Vibe 98.9FM and Spin 94.9FM from Paramount Media Ltd.

“After more than three years of ongoing discussions, Hurleys Entertainment has entered into an agreement to acquire Vibe 89.9FM and Spin 94.9FM, subject to the approval of The Information and Communications Technology Authority,” said Kenny Rankin, Managing Director of Paramount Media.

Both Randy Merren, Managing Director of the Hurleys Media Group and Kenny Rankin have been pioneers and leaders in radio broadcasting and this acquisition will help expand the growth aspirations of the Hurleys Media Group in the media industry of the Cayman Islands.

“This purchase will further establish Hurleys’ position in the radio market and enable us to benefit from the growth in radio advertising. The two radio stations will complement our existing radio and newly acquired television stations, enabling deeper inroads with advertisers across all platforms” said Mr. Merren.

The Hurleys Media Group operates radio assets and television assets, offering an unparalleled variety of cross-platform media assets, including Cayman 27, Island 24, Discover Cayman, Daily Deals, Z99.9FM, Rooster 101.9FM and now Vibe 98.9FM and Spin 94.9FM.

“These recent acquisitions put us in a prime position to uniquely cater to the radio and television needs of the Cayman Islands market with a wide variety of quality programming across the board” said Mr. Merren.
